Ace Armour Schoolcraft was born to John and Ida (Bogle) Schoolcraft in Gracemont, Oklahoma on September 16, 1934 and departed this life in Oklahoma City on May 14, 2013 at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 28 days. Ace grew up in Muleshoe, Texas before moving back to Oklahoma, near Cox’s Corner, north of Mangum, in 1960. He was a member of the US Army for a few years. He married Bonnie Golden on February 12, 1963 in Mangum. Ace was the owner of Granite Memorial Company for many years. He enjoyed driving racecars and hunting and was a member of the Church of Christ, Granite. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, James, Isaac, John Jr and Seward Schoolcraft; 3 sisters, Mary Kouri, Florence Schoolcraft and Shirley Ann Schoolcraft; 2 sisters in law, Sandy and Dolly Schoolcraft and 2 brothers in law, Harrison Rains and George Kouri. Survivors include his wife of the home; 2 daughters, Christine and husband Casey McMurtry of Willow, OK and Charlene and husband Scott Keesee of Lone Wolf; 4 brothers, Victor Schoolcraft of Mangum, Laurence Schoolcraft and wife Mary of Lone Wolf, Butch Schoolcraft and wife Blanche of Leedy, OK and John Larry Schoolcraft and wife Marty of Hollis; 2 sisters, Velena Rains of Granite and Sissy and husband Richard Galloway of Lone Wolf; a sister in law, Carol Schoolcraft of Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren, Kreg, Koltin, Chris, Ronnie, Shianna, Gabby, Hanna, Chase and Kirah and many other relatives and friends.
