Betty Lou (Felps) Jackson passed from this life on September 12, 2016 in Altus at the age of 86. Betty was born on March 24, 1930 to G.B. and Wilmer Grace (Webb) Felps in Tarrant County, Texas. She moved to Victory, Oklahoma when she was seven years old. Betty was a graduate of Victory High School and attended Altus Junior College. She worked for the Hinkle Appliance, Federal Land Bank and the Jackson County Clerk’s office. Betty married Lewis Byron “Bo” Jackson on March 27, 1950 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus where she was still an active member upon her death. Betty loved her church family and enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, collecting coffee mugs, being active in the community and church, loved to travel and spend time with family and help others as she could. Betty is survived by one daughter; Tami Gifford and husband Scott of Blair, Ok; one half brother Joe David Felps of Weatherford, Texas; three grandchildren; Tiffanie Bailey and husband Shane of Broken Arrow, OK; Candice Bierdeman and husband Michael of Altus and Aaron Gifford of Dallas, Texas; two great-grandchildren; Shane Andrew Jr. and Hannah Joelle Bailey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; nephew Andy Kyle Felps of Benbrook, Texas; niece; Stacy Felps Finley of Santo, Texas; cousins; Dorothy Jane Albrecht of Burleson, Texas, Barbara Jean Fairies of Granbury, Texas, Warren Gene Webb of Texas and O. Louise Austin of Valdese, North Carolina; her life-long best friend Norma Dell Savage of Roswell, New Mexico and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services for Betty are schedule for Saturday, September 17, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at the Altus Cemetery with Pastor Gregory Hawn officiating. Viewing for Betty will be Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6-8 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus.
