Clarence Ray Marble was born to William Martin “Pat” and Ada Belle (Davis) Marble in Warren, Oklahoma on May 13, 1936 and departed this life in Lexington, Oklahoma on February 3, 2013 at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 21 days. Clarence grew up in Warren, OK and graduated from Blair High School in 1954. Clarence married Glenda Waller on October 3, 1960 in Mangum, Oklahoma. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, at the OSU experiment farm south of Altus, OK then he served in the US Army and spent two years in Germany. He later worked for Pioneer Natural Gas in Amarillo, TX, and Plainview, TX. They later moved back to Oklahoma and he was a bus driver for Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech in Shawnee, OK and later General Motors in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Lexington, OK. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with family, camping, traveling and playing in the dirt with tractors. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Audrey, Ernest and Donald Marble and a sister, Ima Coffey. Survivors include his wife of the home; 2 sons, Paul Marble of Tecumseh, OK and Patrick Marble and wife Stacy of Chandler, OK; 2 daughters, Kristie and husband Clay Johnson of Lexington, OK and Paula and husband Todd Peterson of Nocona, TX; a sister Evelyn and husband James Moore of Big Spring, TX; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Zane Marble, Matthew and Ashley Peterson and Stephanie and husband Adam Jessup and many other relatives and friends.
