Franklin Roosevelt “Rosie” Dyer passed from this life on April 15, 2018 at age 85. Rosie was born on March 16, 1933 to William Lawson Dyer and Zelma (Blankenship) Dyer in Poarch, Oklahoma. He spent most of his younger years in Carter and graduated from Carter High School in 1952. Rosie worked as a driller in the oil field industry for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, he had the gift of gab and would talk to anyone, he would help anyone in need, Rosie was everyone’s buddy but he especially loved to hang out with his family and friends. Rosie is survived by his wife Ann of the home, son Clint Dyer of Ft. Cobb, daughters Crystal Dyer of Gracemont, Okla., and Dana Dyer of Colorado, brothers Willard Dyer and Jake Dyer of Carter, Okla., sister Charlene Dyer also of Carter. Rosie is also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Zelma, brothers William, Roy, Troy and Charles Dyer and sister Martha Mae Berry and great-uncle Earl “Beaver” Blankenship. Services for Rosie are scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, 2018, 2:00 P.M., at Carter Baptist Church, Carter, Oklahoma. Viewing for Rosie will begin Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M., at Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home located at 1400 West Main, Lone Wolf, 580-846-9018.
