James Dutch “J.D.” Henley passed from this life on December 30, 2017 in Oklahoma City at age 81. J.D. was born on October 4, 1936 in Ada, Oklahoma to James Dutch Henley Sr. and Lyda May (Lacey) Henley. J.D. worked and retired from the Dr. Pepper Company after 20 years as Quality Control Operator and if that wasn’t enough he went to work for Wal-Mart as a stocker and retired after 20 years as well. J.D. was a hard worker and always liked to be doing something. He loved to bowl, shoot pool, dance and play dominos. J.D. is survived by his sons James D. Henley III of Sedalia, Missouri, David Cariker of Modesto, California, Darrell Henley of Elk City, and Michael Henley and wife Ashley of New York, daughter Peggy Turner and husband Daniel of O’Fallon, Illinois, brothers Larry Henley, Tom Henley, Curtis Henley, Jim Henley and Troy Henley, sisters Violet Steward and Pat Owens. J.D. leaves a legacy of eight grandchildren, Justin, Kaleb, Kyle, Amber, Brice, Destiny, Ashley and Alexandra and great-grandchildren Alana, Tilia and Shiloh along with nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, sisters Mary, Ruby, Margie, Joann and Freda. Viewing will begin Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., at Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home located at 1400 West Main, Lone Wolf, 580-846-9018. Services for J.D. are scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home Chapel in Lone Wolf with John E. Werhan officiating.
