Matha Vickery

Martha Vickery was born to Marion and Carolina (Flores) Galindo in San Antonio, Texas on February 17, 1932 and departed this life in Mangum, Oklahoma on April 4, 2013 at the age of 81 years, a month and 18 days. Martha grew up in San Antonio and graduated from a Catholic High School there. She married Jearl Bentley in March of 1950 in San Antonio and they made their home in Mangum, Oklahoma. She later married Ray Vickery on January 1, 1987 in Mangum. She was a receptionist for James Stone Veterinarian in Mangum for 38 years. She enjoyed to visiting family in San Antonio, spending time with her husband and grandchildren, Andy Griffith, loved animals and always helped people with a need. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mangum. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jearl Bentley; 2 brothers, Marion and Adolph Galindo; and two sisters, Margaret Duncan and Emma Jordan. Survivors include her husband Ray Vickery of the home; 3 sons, Jimmie Bentley and wife Alberta of Edmond, OK, Robert Bentley and wife Jenna of Duncan, OK and Tony Bentley of Mangum; 2 step daughters, Vickie and husband Glenn Wright of Granite, OK and Jody Wootton of Granite; a brother Roger Galindo of Houston; 3 sisters, Mary and husband Buster Moring, Catherine and husband Oscar Valdez and Patricia Gomez; 6 grandchildren, Kerri and husband Darren Harvick, Monty Bentley, Lindsay Bentley, Michael Bentley and wife Jamie, Sean Bentley and Kasee and husband Jojo Hernandez; 7 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, Shelbi, Bayli, Silver, Hugh, J.J. and Jacee; 20 step great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
