Milo Miles passed from this life in Clinton November 20, 2016 at the age of 94. Milo was born on March 6, 1922 to Odus and Nona (Cooper) Miles in McAlester, Oklahoma. Milo grew up in the Granite area and joined the United States Army when he was just seventeen. He married the love his life Marion on December 21, 1946. Milo was a member of the Church of Christ in Granite, served as a guard at the Granite Prison and was a reserve deputy sheriff for Greer County, which he was proud to be. He liked to coyote hunt but he called it wolf hunt, and loved to sit in the backyard underneath the tree and whittle. Milo is survived by four daughters: Carlon Dorsett of Stillwater, Sharon Roberts and husband Bobby of El Reno, Kathy Hannah and husband Darrall of Yale and Anna Mae Sadler and husband Jim of Ponca City, two sisters: Darlene Worthington of Wichita Falls, Texas and Betty Fails and husband Cleon of Mangum. Milo is also survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great - great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Milo was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marion, three brothers and two sisters. Graveside Services for Milo are scheduled for Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. November 23, 2016 at Rock Cemetery with brother Dennis King officiating. Viewing will begin 11:00a.m. Tuesday, until 8:00p.m., with family receiving friends from 6-8 at the Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home located at 1400 West Main, 580-846-8018.
