Molly Sue McMinn

Molly Sue (Johnson) McMinn passed from this life on December 1, 2019 in Oklahoma City at age 85. She was born on May 4, 1934 to John Olin Johnson and Ruby (Cummings) Johnson in Prairie View, Arkansas. Molly met the love of her life Tommy Ray McMinn and they were married after graduating together from Northeast High School on June 5, 1952 in Oklahoma City. To this union were born Debbie, Cindy and Tommy. They traveled through many states due to Tommy’s jobs operating heavy equipment for road construction and pipe line until his father became ill and they moved to Mangum to help with the farm. Molly enjoyed knitting, gardening, flowers, jig-saw puzzles and was an avid bingo player, but she truly enjoyed canning early on. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Mangum and later at the Glade Assisted Living she enjoyed the Calvary Bible Church Service and on Wednesdays, loved her Bible class. Molly was a beloved mother, wife, sister and grandmother and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her three children: Tommy Ray McMinn Jr. and wife Kim of Chandler, Arizona, daughters: Debbie Holloway and husband Mike of Altus and Cindy Hilley and Mike Horne of Warr Acres, Oklahoma. One sister Ruby Jewell Bowles of Oklahoma City, two granddaughters McKenna Ray of Edmond and Mandy Wisdom and husband Kevin of Oklahoma City, great grandson Kaiden Wisdom and three great granddaughters McKinsey , Mariah, Maleiah and a host of other relatives and friends. Services for Molly are scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2019, 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Mangum, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery also in Mangum. Public viewing for Molly will begin Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., at People’s Cooperative Funeral Home located at 1400 West Main, Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, 580-846-9018.
