Robert Wade Ramber Sr.
November 8, 1985 - April 7, 2022
Robert Wade Ramber, Sr. was ushered into the presence of Jesus on April 7, 2022. He was born on October 8, 1985, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Cynthia Lange. He was a preemie and fought quite a battle. After 4 years in foster care, he and his little brother, Joshua came home to their forever family, the Ramberzoo, with parents Kris and Karen Ramber. Robert was a very active and inquisitive little boy who loved to study bugs and ride bikes with his friends. He began school in Sentinel. After his first day, he got off the school bus and announced that the next day he would be in first grade. His plan was to conquer school in 13 days. Robert also attended school at Mountain View-Gotebo and Liberty Christian Homeschool. Robert loved fishing, cooking out and hanging out with friends. He left home to pursue his own interests and was employed at a variety of jobs including Taco Factory, Wal-Mart tire and service department, Terry’s Furniture. He finally began working in the oil field, where he was employed until his final illness. Robert accepted Jesus as his personal Savior and was baptized at Gotebo First Baptist Church in 1996. He was active in his church, including serving as a missionary to Mexico. Robert had a genuine love for people and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was always kind when another foster child would enter the home. As an adult, Robert fought some difficult battles, including his final battle with cancer. In his last conversation with his Grandma Shay, Robert lamented over the things he had done in his life, including his decisions and the broken relationships with his family. Grandma reminded him of the prodigal son- how he returned to his Father and was restored to a right relationship, and the fact that the prodigal never stopped being the Father’s son. Robert took her loving message to heart (He even put her picture as his cover photo.) and used his final weeks making things right with his family and his Savior. He was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Elk City. Robert is survived by his family and friends: his parents, Kris and Karen Ramber of Granite, Oklahoma; brother Joshua Ramber of Stafford, Oklahoma, sisters Katheryne Ramber, Tara Ramber, Emma Ramber of Granite, Oklahoma; children Tessia, Emily, and Kimberlyn of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Robert, Jr., Anthony, and Michael of Granite, Oklahoma, grandmother Shay Hervey of Hobart and grandfather Alton Ramber of Sante Fe, Texas, longtime companion Jackie Johnson of Elk City, Oklahoma and other friends and relatives. Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emery and Joyce Harthun. Funeral services for Robert are scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at the Gotebo First Baptist Church. Reverend Jarod Law will be officiating with Robert’s father Reverend Kris Ramber assisting. Interment will follow in the Hobart Rose Cemetery.
