Wesley Lee Nichols, age 97, a resident of Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away at the Grace Living Center in Mangum, Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Wesley was born in Russell, Oklahoma on January 25, 1918 to Luther Eugene Nichols and Valdie Estelle (Harmon) Nichols. In his early years, he worked as a TV Repairman and become known as quite the fix it man. On January 15, 1939 he married the love of his life, Jimmie Ray Reid. He enjoyed playing the fiddle, cotton farming, and spending time with his family. Wesley was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters. Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Jimmie Nichols; 2 daughters, Glenda and husband Cecil Perryman of Duke, OK; Kay Leamon and husband Jimmy of Blooming Grove, TX; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be at 2:00PM, Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Riverside Cemetery in Mangum, OK with Robert Boyd, officiating.
